Company History
The merger of JayZoMon Productions and MythWurks Corporation on January 29, 2019, created The JayZoMon Dark Myth Company. Once formed the company was divided into two major focuses in the way of publications and live-action products, with Dark Myth producing all published materials and JayZoMon arranging live-action productions. The following are the divisions of each and a brief history:
JAYZOMON
JayZoMon Publications - Founded in 2012 and released "Ramblings of the Creatively Insane" on October 09, 2012, and in the forthcoming months produced ebooks until the release of "It's a Dark Ride" which was a joint effort with MythWurks Publications. As of today, this brand was absorbed by Dark Myth Publications as its imprint.
JayZoModcast Podcast Network - Founded in 2012 and launched on November 26, 2012, with Seeing R.E.D episode one. In the almost decade of audio production, JayZoModcast has produced over a thousand hours of podcasts accompanied by ten of thousands of downloads in that time.
JayZoMon Live Events - Voted into place by the Board of Directors in 2022 as a division to house
JayZoMon's Annual Pop Culture Expo and JayZoMon Professional Wrestling International, as shows and events are arranged on a show-by-show basis.
JayZoMon Films - Founded in 2013, has been utilized in short films and assisted in co-production over the years.
DARK MYTH
Dark Myth Publications - Founded on July 4, 2005, as a subsidiary of the, then, Dark Myth Production Studios to accommodate the growing demand and popularity of their online Magazine, The World of Myth. In the seventeen years, Dark Myth Publications published countless books, calendars, and magazines to become a known name in the independent publishing world.
Dark Myth Comics - Originally founded as Montoya Comics on May 8, 1992, for a young boy who wanted to make his own comic books, a few years later it was rebranded as Dark Myth in 1995. In the thirty years, Dark Myth Comics has produced several award-winning comic books such as M-Team, Ayot Nom, The Hunters - Xydus, and most recently the release of American Smash.
Nu Wave Comix - Established in 1992 as a publisher for mature comics and was purchased in 2000 by New Myth Entertainment (a merger with New Blood Films from 2000 to 2002), in that time multiple titles were released until 2017. Today, rebranded as Nu Wave Comix arranged to be a creator-owned publisher for independent creators.
OPEN CONTRACT CHALLENGE
The first contest was held on March 24, 2019, and was sponsored by The World of Myth Magazine, in early 2020 was voted by the Board of Directors to establish an independent division funded and operated by The JayZoMOn Dark Myth Company, LLC. During that time the Open Contract Challenge has become a known and premiere contest with hundreds of submissions annually.
MYTH MART
Created in 1999 by Dark Myth Productions to be a third-party vendor for home video, on July 4, 2005, as a subsidiary of the, then, Dark Myth Production Studios to be a customer hub to our merchandise. In July 2021, the Board of Directors voted to establish Myth Mart as a stand-alone division within The JayZoMon Dark Myth Company. Today, Myth Mart is home to all of the company's products as well as beginning to offer non-company products.
